Terms of Use
Last updated: 18 August 2026
These terms govern your use of the Lodyworks compiler apps: Python Compiler, Java Compiler, JS Compiler, Kotlin Compiler and Swift Compiler. Installing or using any of them means you accept them. They supplement Apple's Standard End User License Agreement, which also applies.
What the apps do
Each app is a code editor with an execution environment for one programming language. Python and JavaScript execute on your device. Java, Kotlin and Swift are compiled and executed by third-party services over the internet, which means those three require a network connection and are subject to those services' availability.
Credits
Free use includes a daily allowance of execution credits. One credit is consumed per run. The allowance resets every day at 00:00 UTC. Free users may earn additional credits by watching rewarded advertisements, up to a daily cap. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred, purchased separately, or refunded, and unused credits do not carry over to the next day. Premium removes the limit entirely.
Subscriptions and purchases
Premium is offered as a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription. Python Compiler and JS Compiler additionally offer a one-time lifetime purchase, because those two apps execute code on your device and carry no ongoing cost to us.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- A subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings after purchase.
- A lifetime purchase unlocks premium features in that single app, for as long as the app remains available on the App Store and functions on your device. It is not a promise of any specific future feature.
All purchases are handled by Apple. Refunds are at Apple's discretion under their policies; we cannot issue them directly.
Advertising
Advertisements are optional and rewarded only. If you decline to watch them, the app remains fully usable within your free daily allowance. Attempting to manipulate the reward system — for example by tampering with the app, spoofing ad completion, or automating ad views — is a breach of these terms and may result in loss of access to the reward feature.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the apps to:
- run code intended to attack, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to any system, including the third-party execution services the apps rely on;
- mine cryptocurrency, run sustained workloads, or otherwise abuse shared compilation services;
- process material you are not permitted to process, or violate any applicable law;
- reverse engineer, decompile or redistribute the app except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by law.
Because Java, Kotlin and Swift code is transmitted to third-party services, do not run confidential, proprietary or personally identifying material in those apps.
Your content
You own the code you write. We claim no rights over it. It is stored on your device; we do not hold a copy on our servers and have no way to recover it. Deleting the app, resetting the device, an operating-system fault or a failed restore will lose anything you have not backed up yourself, and we are not liable for loss of code or of any other data.
Execution engines
Code is executed either by an interpreter bundled inside the app or by a third-party service over the internet, depending on the app and on the runtime you select.
The bundled interpreters — CPython in Python Compiler and the operating system's JavaScript engine in JS Compiler — are independent open-source and platform software that we distribute or call, not software we wrote. The third-party services used by Java, Kotlin and Swift are operated by others entirely. In both cases the behaviour, correctness, performance, security and continued existence of the engine are outside our control.
Accordingly, and to the maximum extent permitted by law: we do not warrant that any engine will be available, will remain available, will produce correct results, or will support any particular language version, library or feature. We may add, replace, downgrade or withdraw any engine or runtime version at any time, including because a third-party service changes its terms, restricts access, introduces charges or shuts down. Such a change is not a defect in the app and does not on its own entitle you to a refund from us.
A lifetime purchase unlocks the premium features of that app. It is not a commitment to maintain any specific engine, runtime version, third-party provider or feature, and it does not extend beyond the period in which the app remains available on the App Store and functions on your device.
Not for production or critical use
These apps are tools for writing, learning and experimenting with code. They are not a certified build environment and must not be relied on for safety-critical, medical, financial, legal or other high-risk purposes. Output produced by any compiler or interpreter may be incorrect, incomplete or misleading, and you are responsible for independently verifying anything you rely on.
Availability and change
We aim to keep every app functional but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change, suspend or discontinue any feature, and we are not liable for delay or failure caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including network failures, acts of a third-party provider, changes in platform or store policy, and events ordinarily treated as force majeure.
Disclaimer and liability
The apps are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, or the cost of substitute services, however caused and on any theory of liability, even if we have been advised of the possibility. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the apps is limited to the amount you actually paid for the app in question in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, and any mandatory rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country of residence. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
Termination
You may stop using the apps at any time by deleting them. We may suspend access to specific features if you breach these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence.
